BBS POS Privacy Policy

BBS POS ("the App", package bbs.pos) is a point-of-sale application published by Green Matrix Solution Sdn Bhd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App uses and how it is handled.

1. Information the App handles

• Business data you enter: products, prices, sales, orders, tables, customers, staff accounts and settings. This data is stored in a database on your device (and on your own server or our cloud service if your business has enabled synchronisation or back-office reporting).
• Device identifier: the App reads the Android device ID (ANDROID_ID) to identify the terminal to your back office and to activate your licence.
• Network information: the App reads local network details (such as Wi-Fi/IP address) so that terminals in the same shop can communicate with each other over the local network.
• Camera: used only to scan barcodes and QR codes. Images are processed on the device and are not stored or sent to us.
• Bluetooth and nearby devices: used only to find and connect to receipt printers. On Android 11 and below, Android requires location permission for Bluetooth scanning; the App does not collect or store your location.
• Files: if you choose to back up or restore your database, the App reads or writes the file you select.

2. How information is used

We use this information only to run the POS functions you request: recording sales, printing receipts, synchronising terminals, activating your licence and providing back-office reports and technical support.

3. Sharing

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising. Data is sent to our servers (manager.onecloudbbs.com / lite.onecloudbbs.com) only when your business uses our cloud features, and it is transmitted over encrypted connections where the server supports it. We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Retention and deletion

Data stored on the device stays until you delete it or uninstall the App. To request deletion of data held on our servers, email contact@greenmatrixsolution.com from your registered business email.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. The business owner is responsible for protecting access to their devices and staff passwords.

6. Children

The App is intended for business use and is not directed at children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above shows the latest version.
